Making Jewish Art in 2025: A Survey to the Creative Community of North America
CANVAS is a funding and field-building collaborative that seeks to encourage, support, and promote a 21st century Jewish cultural renaissance. Our mission of elevating the ecosystem of Jewish arts and culture in North America, through grantmaking, field-building, and funder education, is best achieved when we truly understand the opportunities and challenges facing professional artists and creatives.
For this reason, we are reaching out to artists, arts patrons, and cultural workers across North America to better understand how they have navigated the past 18 months in the context of their Jewish identity. We know that there have been significant changes to the Jewish cultural landscape since October 7, 2023, and we need your help in better understanding how the artists have been impacted, financially, creatively, or otherwise.
The survey is anonymous, and the results will be used to alert all stakeholders – community leaders, patrons, presenting organizations, funders, and the broader public — to the pressing needs of the field.
This survey should take 8 minutes to complete, and your participation is deeply appreciated.
The survey will be open until February 23, 2025.
