About CANVAS

Each year, CANVAS distributes at least $1 million in grants to North American–based nonprofit organizations. We support Jewish arts and culture networks that serve as hubs for 3,000+ artists and creative professionals; media outlets that cover their work, and the sector at large; and distribution channels that give audiences access to this new, vibrant, and relevant work.

Since 2020, the CANVAS Collaborative Fund has granted more than $4 million to the field.

CANVAS also provides a community of practice for its Grantee Leaders, funders, and other stakeholders in the sector.

Last but not least, CANVAS serves as a champion for contemporary Jewish creativity in all its forms: to funders and patrons, artists and presenters, and beyond.
