CANVAS Amplify Grants: Award Requirements

The Open Call for CANVAS Amplify Grants is now closed, please stay tuned for future opportunities. 

Applicants may request between $50,000 and $75,000, based on a proposal’s scope, impact, and alignment with CANVAS review criteria.

In addition:



    

  • 

      

    • The CANVAS grant cannot exceed 50% of the total cost of the project. (For example, for a project requesting $50,000 of CANVAS support, the total project budget must be at least $100,000.)
      • 

    • The amount of funding requested from CANVAS must not exceed 20% of the organization’s total operating budget.

Grant funds are available for all phases of proposal activities, including:




    

  • 

      

    • Prototyping/piloting of new initiatives.
      • 

    • Support for sustained, ongoing programs and initiatives.
      • 

    • Scaling and expanding existing initiatives to accelerate growth.
      •

The period of performance for the grant may be for up to eighteen months from the date of the awarded agreement.


CANVAS Amplify Grant support for projects will begin January 1, 2026.
